INFORMATION
Our SQL Protection Plan requires the VSS SQL Writer, which was not released for SQL 2000. We will not be able to run a SQL Protection Plan for SQL 2000.
As a workaround, you may create a backup of SQL databases using the internal backup feature in SQL. So long as the BAK file is in the same folder with the same name, we will keep a deduplicated history of the BAK file by just running a File and Folder plan against the BAK file. You may wish to create a BAK file for each database, to increase the likelihood of good deduplication.
